About Victoire
What Victoire does, where its figures come from and how to read them.
Victoire is a tool to explore the App Store country by country: rising apps, markets with room left, keyword difficulty and app ideas backed by figures. It helps app makers spot a niche, a country to launch in or an app to watch.
From the public App Store catalog, collected country by country: titles, ratings, rating counts, prices, charts and listings. Download and revenue estimates come from a third-party provider. Victoire is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Apple.
The ratings an app gains over a period, compared with the previous period: speeding up when the pace grows by 20% or more, slowing down when it drops as much, steady in between, new when the app gained nothing before. These are ratings, not downloads: an app that often asks for a rating collects more, so it is better to compare an app with itself than with its neighbors.
The share of a niche's established apps, meaning those with at least 50 ratings, rated below 4 out of 5. From around 20% up, many users settle for mediocre apps: there is room to do better. A weak market with no momentum, where apps hardly gain any ratings, is however mostly a dead market.
The score runs from 0, wide open, to 100, locked. It measures the strength of the ten apps the App Store shows first for the keyword in a country: their rating volume, the smallest of them, how many have the keyword in their title, how many are charting and how long they have existed. Below 30 is easy, below 55 medium, below 75 hard, above that locked. A keyword's search volume is not known.
They are orders of magnitude for the past month, all countries combined, hence the ≈ sign before each figure. They are for comparing apps with each other, not for knowing an exact figure.
Articles are signed Victoire: they start from the site's data, and every figure links to the app page or the page that shows it. The revenue figures are the rounded monthly estimates described above; facts from elsewhere (founder statements, Apple's rules, laws) link to their source. An article is updated when its figures change, and the update date is shown at the top.
Yes. Victoire offers an MCP server: once connected, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code query the trends, charts, markets, keywords and app pages themselves. Access requires a Victoire account, where you will find the address to paste into your tool.
Signing up is free and needs no credit card. Usage is capped so the service stays fast for everyone.
